PET (POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) + PE (POLYETHYLENE)
PET / PE is a multi-layer packaging material obtained by combining PET foil with a polyethylene (PE) layer. By blocking oxygen, water vapour and gas permeability to a high degree, it preserves the freshness of foods and extends their shelf life.
Thanks to the strong sealing property provided by the PE layer, it is safely used on form-fill-seal lines. With its structure suitable for thermoforming and its low permeability that preserves aroma and flavour, it is widely preferred in meat, dairy and ready-food packaging.
