PET / EVOH / PE

EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) barrier films provide an excellent oxygen barrier for products sensitive to gas levels — such as meat, dairy, olives and bakery goods — preserving freshness.

PET / EVOH / PE ALS-04
Oxygen Barrier Freshness Multi-layer

PET (POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) + EVOH (ETHYLENE VINYL ALCOHOL) / PE (POLYETHYLENE)

EVOH/PE: used to largely prevent the transfer of oxygen, water vapour and gas permeability, thereby extending shelf life and preventing air contact for products in which bacteria can multiply quickly.

KEY PROPERTIES OF PET / PE (EVOH) / PE

  • The EVOH/PE layer provides an excellent oxygen barrier for products affected by gas levels, such as meat, dairy, olives and bakery goods.
  • EVOH barrier films help preserve product freshness by reducing protective gas leakage.
  • It is an excellent barrier against oxygen, water vapour and gas permeability.
  • The packaging is not damaged during curling, handling, storage and transport.
  • It provides low permeability to aroma and flavour.
  • Suitable for vacuum and MAP (modified atmosphere) packaging.
  • It has a long shelf life.
  • It is recyclable.
